Supported Charities
At YL Ventures, we believe that when we are successful, we should share our good fortune with those who are less fortunate, in a way that helps build the right infrastructures for them to do well for themselves (we support ‘building clocks’ rather than ‘telling time’). The way we chose to contribute was by supporting charitable organizations that are focused on enabling talented individuals in poor countries grow and boost their local economies. Therefore, the management of YL Ventures is committed to sharing a portion of its annual profits with the following organizations, supporting them in their activities that foster entrepreneurship and the use of information technologies in the developing world:
Sevak Solutions
Sevak Solutions is a nonprofit organization that was established to support economic development in emerging markets. The company is developing and promoting technology innovations, business models, and collaborative efforts to dramatically increase the scale of financial services to the world’s urban and rural poor. Special emphasis is placed on creating viable, affordable solutions for those financial institutions that are unable to link into the formal financial sector due to communications, technical, or operational limitations.

YTF’s mission is to transform rural communities into enriched learning environments in which technology used appropriately enhances and expands opportunities for marginalized youth. YTF achieves its mission by providing technology leadership and entrepreneurship training to young people. Embodiments of YTF’s vision include the Owerri Digital Village in Nigeria and the Sironko Digital Village in Uganda.
