Alex Mashinsky

Mr. Alex Mashinsky is a Venture Partner at YL Ventures. As the Managing Partner of VenturiFX , a New York-based early stage venture capital firm, Mr. Mashinsky founded several companies including LimoRes.net in 2002, Qwireless in 2001, Elematics in 2000, and Arbinet in 1996, where he served as its CEO until January 2000.

Today, Arbinet (ARBX), for which Mr. Mashinsky continues to serve as board member, is a world leader in providing wireless, wire line and VOIP connectivity with over $500 million in annual revenues. The company has over 115 employees and over 1,100 world carriers transacting billions of minutes every year.

Prior to Arbinet, Mr. Mashinsky co-founded Comgates, the Israel-based world leader in media gateway technology, and was President of VoiceSmart, a provider of software and outsourced services for the debit card and call back industries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mashinsky had ran TTC, a Luxembourg-based commodities trading firm.
